Courteney Cox is launching her new fragrance with Avon this November. This new fragrance is called spotlight, and is her own fresh and clean scent. ‘I like a scent which captures the thrill of being the centre of attention and having all eyes on you’ she tells the Miami Herald.

‘Perfumes can make you feel empowered and special, and I think women need a little of that in their life. Spotlight is a captivating oriental scent that enables all women to feel like a star in their daily lives. Courteney Cox is a well respected actress by both young and older women, and I have no doubt that this fragrance will sell with her admired face behind the scent.

Spotlight will be available in a 50 ml EDT from Avon in November this year.

Sienna Miller has teamed up with Hugo Boss to launch the new perfume called Hugo Boss Orange. The new fragrance will be released over here in July and the product launch took place in Madrid on the5th of June.

The new fragrance is described as sensual and luminous. Sienna Millers casual, Bohemian hippy style matches this fragrances description, creating the perfect fragrance celebrity combination. Thomas Burkhardt of Hugo Boss Fragrances said ‘she truly embodies the sprit of the brand. She is a liberated soul – light hearted, spontaneous and passionate- and she quiet simply wears her heart on her sleeve.

The notes in this scent are apple, orange blossom, jasmine, plum, white peach, vanilla, sandalwood and olive tree. I can’t wait to smell this scent as its description sounds exciting and I can’t wait to try it. Hugo Boss orange will appear in the stores in July this year.

Fathers day this year falls on the 21st of June so that gives us all a couple of weeks to search for that great present for the special man in your life who never lets you down.

It has top notes of Grapefruit, Bergamot, Vetiver and Green ivy, middle notes of Jasmine, and Green rose, and bottom notes of Modern musks, Mineral amber, and Cedarwood. Story is a scent which very much invokes elegance. The scent is simple yet attractive, and will last all day.

There are still many more fragrances out there to suit different dads. But I would start choosing as it’s not long to go now folks!

‘Her Majesty the rose’ is a fragrance which enjoys the beauty of a single rose. The fragrance was released in 2000 by Serge Luten, and is a beautiful true rose scent for both women, and men. The nose behind this fragrance is Christopher Sheldrake. The high notes are of course Moroccan rose, combined with fresh leafy greens, middle notes of spices, blue chamomile, geranium, lychee, and lemons, with base notes of, gaïac wood, dark Rose, honey, vanilla and woody notes.

At first this scent can seem overpowering with strong scents of rose with a touch of greenery. If you make your initial judgement here, you may not like the scent but it’s the period after this, and the dry down that give Sa Majeste la Rose its scented beauty, and pleasures. Its initial burst of Rose starts to combine with the other notes to create a simple rose scent which smells truly of roses. The scent becomes softer after the initial burst; they dry down and become more honeyed, and leafy. The gaïac wood starts to rupture through the rose, creating a woody scent, which creates a beautiful long lasting true rose scent.

This Serge Luten scent is somehow different from their other scents. It’s not as dark, and dirty. Their scents are usually cryptic and challenging, and Sa Majeste la Rose seems more friendly, and simple. However this is not a negative thing, as it’s a very soothing fresh, real rose scent. It’s balanced by slight greens, and a sweet honey dry down, combined with woods. The fragrance is confidently beautiful and a pleasure to wear.

Story was launched in 2006 for men by Paul Smith. ‘I still find inspiration in everything….but most of all books.’ Story is a fragrance inspired from the untouched and fascinating scent of print in book combined to the essence of time. The Fragrance comes in a transparent glass rectangle shaped bottle with a front flap that opens like the front cover of a book, that representing a book. The print on the front of the bottle is in the typeface taken from an old olibetti typewriter.

Story has top notes of Grapefruit, Bergamot, Vetiver and Green ivy, middle notes of Jasmine, and Green rose, and bottom notes of Modern musks, Mineral amber, and Cedarwood. These notes give Story a very elegant and neat scent. This scent is defiantly for the men who appreciate masculine perfume which is airy and earthy, rather than masculine scents which choose to be strong, cluttered and overbearing.

This is a great fragrance for everyday wear. The Ivy compliments the Grapefruit very well creating a peppery like scent. The Cedarwood, Ivy and Vetiver finish off this scent creating a lasting simple, yet attractive scent all day. The overall effect is clean, spicy, and intriguing. Story is never overpowering no matter how much is applied, and has been described as Paul Smiths best fragrance.

Kate moss is releasing her new perfume Vintage in September and the super model is taking her vintage icon style, and converting this image into her new scent Vintage.

Kate said she wanted her perfume to have ‘a vintage English feel, and to be a symbol of both her good, and bad’

Kate also said ‘she loves anything old, except old men.’

The fragrance is designed to be worn all day, and is a soft scent, created with blends of lily from the valley, magnolia, Coty, and roses.

Vintage follows from her highly successful fragrance Velvet Hour which recently won the CEW prize for Best New Celebrity Fragrance.

With Kate onto her ninth collection for TopShop, and her new fragrance set to release for September, I’m sure Vintage will be a great hit.

The 37th annual FiFi Awards took place last night in New York at The Downtown Armory, Lexington Avenue & 26th Street. Vanille Exquise was lunched by Annick Goutal in 2004. The fragrance was developed by Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal. They wanted to create a new and unique Vanilla scent which would invoke the fantasy of far-flung islands and the memory of Cleopatra’s vanilla almond baths. This would be challenging, as many vanilla based scents can create strong sweet girly smells, which mainly teenagers are attracted too. They can also smell extremely sweet and almost too good to eat, which makes it difficult to wear because of the lasting effects of edible smells, upon the wearer. But Vanille Exquise by Annick Goutal is one of the best vanilla fragrances around.

The notes included in this perfume are vanilla, almond, benzoin, angelica, gaiac wood, Sandalwood, and white musk. The fragrance is great for vanilla scent lovers.
