Lethal Perfumes?
Clarins’ Angel Parfum has recently come under attack from a American Toxicology group after claims that it contains Coumarin, which the group claims to be a dangerous poison.
Whilst toxic in high quantities, Coumarin is found in a large number of detergents or other fragrances, and The National Toxic Encephalopathy Foundation claims are at time both political and baffling, as Cosmetic Design Europe states:
On the NTEF website, the organization has published a number of articles criticizing Clarins including: ‘Clarins perfumes preferred by London terrorists’, ‘Clarins accused of manufacturing court document’ and ‘Is Clarins Angel Parfum a Valentine gift or St Valentine’s day massacre.’
It seems strange to attack a certain brand of perfume in this way. We’ll keep you posted.
