			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Shares of Parlux Perfumes rose by 4 percent owing to the strong demand for Jessica Simpson <a href="http://www.boutiqueperfumes.co.uk" target="_blank">perfumes</a>. The shares are hitting a new year high as Wedbush Morgan analyst Rommel Dionisio upgraded the shares to “Buy” from “Hold”.</p>
<p>Dionisio also raised his price target on the stock to $8 from $4.50. The revenue forecast for 2009 has been raised to $173 million from $167 million.</p>
<p>In a research note, Dionisio told investors that the launch of the new perfume earlier this month has met with strong customer response even before the start of major marketing campaigns. Several retailers reported that the first shipment of the fragrance got sold out within a few days.</p>
<p>The continued success of the Jessica Simpson perfume is expected to expand the distribution of Parlux’s Paris Hilton and Guess Perfumes.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>US perfume manufacturer Parlux is launching the new <a href="http://www.boutiqueperfumes.co.uk" target="_blank">fragrance</a> Fancy for Jessica Simpson, this month in time for the back-to-school season. The product is targeting women consumers aged 15 to 25.</p>
<p>The new fragrance is a luminous dewy floral with top notes of pear, apricot nectar and red fruits. The heart is composed of gardenia, jasmine, toasted almonds and caramel. Parlux has made the design of the bottle in collaboration with Camuto Group and the New York-based agency Brandonology. Parlux spokesman said that there are no risks of Fancy cannibalizing the Paris Hilton brand as the target consumers for the two products are of different age groups.</p>
<p>New York-based ad agency Avrett Free Ginsberg has created the ad for the product which shows Jessica Simpson posing like screen icon Brigitte Bardot. Print ads will come in the US in September, while TV ads will break in October.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Pop Mogul Sean Combs is releasing a new <a href="http://www.boutiqueperfumes.co.uk" target="_blank">perfume</a> with name I Am King in December 2008, first in the US and UK. Combs asserts that the name of this new perfume is a mantra of self-affirmation and a reflection of politico-social ambitions and especially aimed at African-American and Latino men.</p>
<p>I Am King has a tangerine zest, juicy orange, succulent cranberry and a proprietary Imperial French berry note. The heart is of kir royal, crème de cassis, premium Champagne and cooling Mediterranean water accord. Base notes are of key lime pie, lemon cream, rich labdanum extract, cedarwood, vetiver, white moss, sandalwood essences and clean powdery undertones.</p>
<p>Combs believes that the name of the perfume will appeal to the senses of a young African-American male or a young Latino male. In a bid to deflate any accusation of sexism, Combs announces that a new perfume called I Am Queen will follow next in the fall of 2009.</p>

<p>The new scent is described as a violet oriental scent with the fragrance composed of top notes of wildflowers, violet and Virginia cedar, middle notes of iris, clove and Tonkin musk, and bottom notes of black current and Bulgarian rose. The bottle of the perfume is made with black sands, which is similar to the Greek isles where Jacqueline was wed in 1968.</p>
<p>A part of the sales of the new fragrance in the United States will benefit the World Wildlife Fund.</p>

<p>But as things stand now, the perfume market is overburdened with celebrity scents and this has cheapened the perception of the market considerably. People have the feeling that there are too many celebrity fragrances, but the quality is not just there. This year alone we are going to see some 500 new launches.</p>

<p>Her new scent is named Look and the launch is planned to coincide with the opening of her new store at New York City. The Look collection includes a <a href="http://www.boutiqueperfumes.co.uk" target="_blank">skincare products</a> such as 30ml parfum elixir, 3 sizes EdP spray (30ml, 50ml and 100ml), a 200ml Sheer Body Lotion, a 200ml Velvet Body Cream and Satin Shower Cream.</p>
<p>Vera Wang’s perfumes are considered to be large money makers, with her first perfume generating sales of about $30 million in 2002. The imminent festive season seems to be the driving force behind all these celebrity perfume launches.</p>

The net sales for the second quarter were approximately $99.1 million, which is 20 percent ahead that of 2007’s net sales of about $82.8 million.</p>
<p>The Chairman and CEO of Inter Parfums, Jean Madar said that the European operation of the company achieved sales of $83.9 million. Burberry brand sales were especially strong due to the exceptional growth of Burberry Brit and Burberry The Beat.</p>
<p>The company also announced that the 12-year license to create, produce and distribute perfumes and cosmetics under the <a href="http://www.boutiqueperfumes.co.uk/acatalog/paul-smith.html" target="_blank">Paul Smith</a> brand was recently extended for an additional seven years. The deal was originally signed in December 1998.</p>

Perfume division of Coty generated 82 percent of Coty’s revenue last year, while the make-up accounted for 15 percent and skincare products generated the remaining 3 percent.</p>
<p>Coty also makes Lancaster cosmetics and Rimmel make-up and they are one of the several parties interested in buying French cosmetics company Clarins, along with L&#8217;Oreal, Estee Lauder and Procter &amp; Gamble.</p>

Now it is the turn of American Pop singer Jessica Simpson to follow the suit.</p>
<p>She is about to launch her new country album, but in addition to that she is also launching her <a href="http://www.boutiqueperfumes.co.uk" target="_blank">perfume</a>, Fancy. “With Fancy, I wanted to create a pretty fragrance, one that I could be just as comfortable wearing on the red carpet or every day with my favourite jeans,” she says.</p>
